FIRMWARE UPDATE FOR LINX 820 & 1020:
This will fix the issues caused by the latest Windows update including power issues.
on the tablet, click or navigate to the link below and download the Linx Firmware Update Tool on the tablet. Then run the program and follow the on screen instructions (it’s also worth removing any external memory card before performing this):

It’s also worth turning off FAST START UP which is a feature designed to help start the tablet quicker by withholding part of the battery power. However the recent Creators update seems to have affected this by draining the battery even whilst turned off. The above fix should solve this but it’s worth turning the feature off anyway. Follow the below steps to do this:
- Go to ALL SETTINGS.
- Click/Tap
- Choose POWER & SLEEP
- Under RELATED SETTINGS choose ADDITIONAL POWER SETTINGS.
- On the left, sellect CHOOSE WHAT THE POWER BUTTONS DO.
- You will see a small sheild which says CHANGE SETTINGS THAT ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, click/tap this.
- Under SHUT DOWN SETTINGS at the bottom of the screen you will see TURN ON FAST START UP. Make sure this box is
- Press the SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom of the screen to save.
- Turn off your tablet and turn it back on again and this should hopefully solve the power issues you have been having.
